The 2017-18 City of Casey's Heritage grants program is now open.
The City of Casey recognises the value of our heritage. In accordance with Council's key direction to strategically plan for future growth areas and existing communities while respecting and maintaining our heritage, Council has allocated funds in the budget to implement the City of Casey Heritage Grants program.
Council has allocated funds to assist property owners to maintain buildings, places and sites of significance to the cultural heritage of Casey. Owners and occupiers of places listed in the Heritage Overlay of the Casey Planning Scheme are eligible to apply for funds. The amount of funding to be granted is at the discretion of Council. Grants will generally be made available up to $5,000 per applicant. In extraordinary circumstances, a grant above this may be offered where significant urgent works are required.
To be considered for a heritage grant, an applicant must provide a financial like for like (dollar for dollar) contribution towards the project.
The Heritage Grants program provides funding to eligible individuals, community groups or organisations for urgent conservation works or documentary works to support the management of heritage assets, buildings, places and sites of significance in the City of Casey.
