Conservation Advisory Committee

The Conservation Advisory Committee is highly regarded as one of the most successful of Council’s advisory committees.

Community representatives on the Committee advise Council on conservation, heritage, environment and sustainability matters and provide guidance on the implementation of the City of Casey Sustainability Plan.

Call for nominations for 2017 - 2021 Committee

The City of Casey is calling for Expressions of Interest from community members to nominate for the 2017 - 2021 Conservation Advisory Committee.

Council is seeking residents who are passionate about protecting and enhancing the local environment and would like to represent their community and play a part in Council achieving its vision for a sustainable future.

The Conservation Advisory Committee provides members with opportunities to help shape Council strategies, programs and budget proposals. Members can make a real contribution as advocates for Council’s conservation, sustainability and heritage programs.

Nominees should be interested in one or more of the following:

  • Sustainability
  • Climate change and energy use
  • Waste management and recycling
  • Water
  • Natural environment
  • Land use
  • Cultural heritage
  • Environmental education.
