Dad's Programs

The City of Casey’s Fathers Inclusion Team has developed a series of interactive, inclusive and exciting programs for men to join in with their children aged 0 to 6 years.

These programs, targeted specifically to dads, step-dads, grandfathers and other men who play an integral role in a child’s life are critical to the fabric of the Casey community and are being embraced by men living within the municipality. By offering a range of programs just for dads, the City of Casey recognises the important role men play in their family structure.

Developing social networks and support channels among other dads, while spending valuable time with their children, is important for men and the City of Casey’s range of programs are available throughout the week, all year round.

The loose format of many of the programs allows dads to come and go as their schedules permit and weekend activities are proving very popular.

Current Programs

RPM (Read-Play-Make)

RPM is a fun and interactive program for dads and their children.

Activities include:
- Sharing stories and playing games
- Meeting other dads
- Helping your child to learn through play.

Leapin' Lizards - A place to do, think and feel

Leapin' Lizards is a fun environment for participants to do, think and feel.

Activities include:

Engaging fun for Dads and their children aged 3-6 years
Specialised program which develops movement

FACT Sunday Sessions

Fathers And Children Together sessions are held to encourage some time out for Dads with their children.

Activities include:

Time-out having fun with your children
Sporting activities
Paint and draw
Meet other dads

Dads' Little Builders

Come along and build with your little one.

Activities include:

Sharing fun times with your children
Building side by side
Meet other dads

When: Every Monday (commencing Monday 15 April 2013)

BAM - The fun way to play!

Balance and movement activities for Dads and their children. There are sessions for three different age groups; one for babies 0-18 months old, one for children 1-3 year olds and another for 3-6 year olds.

Activities include:

Playing together
Improve health and wellbeing
Socialise with other dads and their children
