Responsibility - Internal Ombudsman
These procedures are a resource for whistleblowers and potential whistleblowers, whether an internal City of Casey member, employee or staff, or an external member of the public; essentially, any individual who wants to find out how to make a disclosure, receive the protections available under the Act, and how the whistleblower and their disclosure may be managed and handled by the City of Casey.
The Protected Disclosure Act 2012 replaced the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 on 10 February 2013.
Further advice about making a confidential disclosure can be obtained by contacting Council's Protected Disclosure Coordinator.
Disclosures can also be may directly to the Independent Broad Based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC).
