With the colder months now upon us the City of Casey has the perfect way to keep you entertained this winter.
Back and bigger than ever before, the Winter Arts Festival is now in its 15th year and has more than 80 events and activities scheduled to keep you and your family busy over the next three months.
The festival, which kicked off at the beginning of June will run until the end of August and is sure to be a hit with young and old and not the hip-pocket.
A highlight of the program is the FREE School Holiday Wonderland at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick, which will offer four different rooms of creative play for children aged 2-12, plus something for the big kids as well.
The School Holiday Wonderland will be held from Tuesday 11 July to Thursday 13 July where families can drop in anytime between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm.
Another key event is the Open Studios weekend on Saturday 26 August and Sunday 27 August where local artists will throw open their doors and let you get a glimpse at all the behind the scenes work. Eleven studios will be open for inspection from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm or you can book a seat on the Open Studios bus tour and sit back and enjoy the ride as you tour the different studios.
The Winter Arts Festival program also includes performances, music, dance, theatre, exhibitions, workshops, student art showcases and much more!
Activities will be based at various locations throughout Casey so there’s sure to be one close to home.
More than 30,000 people experienced last year’s Festival so don’t miss out on this season’s excitement.
