Put your best foot forward this January as Casey Tennis Week returns for 2018, with a massive line-up of activities and events spread across seven days.
The City of Casey has matched up with local tennis clubs again, giving aspiring tennis players a chance to channel their Australian Open inspiration into a variety of events throughout town.
The popular series will kick off on Sunday 28 January and run until Sunday 4 February 2018.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Geoff Ablett said it’s time to dig out the racquet and tennis balls and head down to your local club.
“Ten of our local tennis clubs will be taking part in the week-long event, with a variety of activities taking place every day from 28 January,” he said.
“What better way to get the whole family active this summer, with a variety of opportunities for both the young and elderly.
“Whether you’re someone who could match it with the best, or haven’t had a hit before, there is something on offer for all abilities and it’s a wonderful chance to have a laugh with family and friends.”
The event, which is proudly supported by Tennis Victoria, is part of Council’s commitment to creating a healthy community and increasing participation in sport, while giving great exposure to many of its local tennis clubs.
