Council has moved into Bunjil Place

Issued Monday 30 October 2017

Following a highly successful opening weekend, the City of Casey has now moved into its new premises located within Bunjil Place.

More than 35,000 people flocked to the new entertainment precinct over the weekend to participate in a range of activities, sample the shows and entertainment that will feature within Bunjil Place, and view for themselves the magnificent new community facility.

From today, the existing Narre Warren Civic Centre and Customer Service Centre has now closed and relocated to Bunjil Place.

The Customer Service space located within Bunjil Place will operate on a new schedule to better accommodate the needs of Casey residents:

  • The Customer Service counter will be open from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
  • The Customer Service main phone number will still be in operation from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
  • Customer Service concierge staff will be accessible in the Bunjil Place main foyer between 7.30 am to 9.00 pm Monday to Friday, and between 9.00 am to 9.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Council’s other offices at Percy Trewin Annexe in Regency Drive and Verdun Drive have also closed.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Sam Aziz said our new Customer Service space within Bunjil Place delivers a modern, dynamic and most of all friendly environment for people to interact with Council.

“There are many exciting aspects to Bunjil Place, one of which is the opportunity the facility has provided to allow us to bring many of our staff together under one roof, creating efficiencies and collaboration opportunities for Council that would not have otherwise been possible”, said the Mayor.

“The move will also see employees shift to a more flexible way of working that will result in better outcomes for our community, and deliver better customer service to our residents.

“Our next milestone will be to hold the first Council Meeting in the new Function Centre on Thursday 9 November 2017, which I hope many residents will come and witness for themselves this historic moment”.
