When newborn Alesana Finau joined the City of Casey’s Maternal and Child Health service recently, it marked a significant milestone for Council.
The little bundle became the 100,000th baby registered to Council’s MCH database!
To mark the special milestone, Council presented Alesana and his parents Brooke and Doug with some books and a certificate at their four-week MCH visit this month at Hunt Club Children's Centre.
Council’s MCH service plays an integral role in giving Casey’s little residents the best start to life and supports families through their parenthood journey.
Casey operates the largest MCH service in the state and last year undertook more than 41,000 home-visits and appointments with the 6,500 plus babies that were registered to Council’s system.
The 100,000th milestone has been achieved in 15 years since Council begun using an online database, with many more families receiving support from MCH prior to that throughout the service’s long history.
