Schools on Stage will be held on Thursday 30 August 2018 at Bunjil Place Theatre, hosted by Tim Campbell.

Schools on Stage celebrates the performing arts talents of Casey’s young people, whilst also encouraging them to take part in extra-curricular activities to strengthen their connection to the school community, make new friends and build important skills

Local secondary colleges will be selected to perform two songs from their school musical in an eisteddfod style event. Students will benefit from the chance to gain additional performance experience, as well as meeting like-minded peers from other schools.

Schools who will not be performing a school musical in 2018 may wish to consider entering the Open Division.

Applications are now open for schools to enter either the Premiere or Open Division of School on Stage and close Friday 8 June 2018.

2017 Schools on Stage winners

Schools on Stage welcomed back Tim Campbell to host the event for his seventh consecutive year. Tim Campbell entertained the audience singing ‘Shout’ while being joined by students from Alkira Secondary College who choreographed an additional piece for this special performance.

The awards went to the following schools and performers:

  • First Place Premier Division - St Francis Xavier College “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast"
  • First Place Open Division - Alkira Secondary College “Singin’ in the Rain”
  • Best Song - Kambrya College “Shrek The Musical Jr” – “I Know It's Today”
