Please note:  Payment for programs must be paid in full prior to the first class and can be paid at the Lynbrook Community Centre from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am – 5.30 pm.  Places are limited, so please book your spot to avoid disappointment.

Regular Activities for all

  • Story Time
    Dates:  25 July, 22 August, 19 September and 17 October
    Time:   12.00 pm - 1.00 pm
    Cost:  Free
    Storytime introduces children to a wide range of books, stimulates new ides and interests, helps develop language skills and provides a chance to socialise. Perfect for preschool aged children, but all are welcome.

  • Junior Art Classes  6-10 Years
    Dates: Wednesdays
    Time:   4.30 pm - 5.15 pm
    Cost:  Term fee $80.00 payable before first session. Casual fee $10.00 per session.
    Get involved in creating your own art piece that you could cherish forever.  We use so many materials which create a fun and innovating learning experience.  Provided by a local qualified art teacher.  Art kits can be purchased at the centre for $12.00 per person and includes a Visual Art Diary and set of drawing pencils.  Bookings essential.

  • Get Moving for older adults
    Date: Thursdays 9.30 am - 10.15 am
    Cost: $8 per session
    Time to get going and keep moving! This program is a great way to stay fit and healthy. Our qualified YMCA personal trainer will tailor a program to suit individuals.
  • Table Tennis
    Date: Thursdays
    Time:  6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
    Come along and enjoy social table tennis. Coaches from Table Tennis Victoria available to give you some tips and tricks. Bookings essential.

  • Justice of the Peace service
    Date: Tuesdays 7.00 pm – 8.30 pm
    Cost: FREE
    Providing an independant and objective witness to documents people use for official or legal purposes including:

    • attesting the execution of a document
    • witnessing an affidavit for use in court
    • witnessing a statutory declaration
    • certifying a true copy of an original document
    • certifying a person’s identity
  • Lynbrook Book Club
    Date: Second Thursday of the month - 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm.
    Cost: $10 joining fee
    Passionate about literature? Come along and join the book club. Read a book each month and then come together to discuss and chat about the book.

Community Events

  • Community Bus Trip:  Mornington Main Street Market
    Date: Wednesday 29 August
    Time: 9.30 am – 3.00 pm
    Cost: $10 per person
    Join us on our community bus trip to mornington Main Street Market where your shopping options are endless!  The Main Street Market has been running for over 30 years and is Victoria's longest running street market!

  • Foster Care Information Session
    Date: Friday 7 September
    Time: 9.30 am – 1.30 pm
    Cost: Free
    Foster Care Information sessions gives an opportunity for you to hear information about the process of becoming a registered foster carer.  All are invited.

  • Family Games Night
    Date: Friday 10 August
    Time: 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm
    Cost:  Free
    Join in this fun filled community event and play different games with family and friends.  A fun gathering night allowing people from the community to get to know one another.  Light refreshments will be served.

School Holiday Program

  • Wild Action
    Date: Tuesday 2 October
    Time: 10.30 am – 11.30 am
    Cost:  $10 per person
    An excellent opportunity for local children to meet, pat and hold the endangered species.  The children will have a chance to pat and/or hold all the 13 different types of animals at the show.  These will include a behemoth snake, a mammal, a goanna, a colourful parrot or endangered owl and an unforgettable crocodile.  Bookings essential.

  • Clay Play
    Date: Wednesdays 26 September and 3 October
    Time: 10.30 am – 11.30 am
    Cost:  $30.00 for 2 sessions
    Learn pottery hand building techniques and create your own fairy house!  Learn how to make slabs, pinch pot and join clay.  Must attend both sessions.  Bookings essential.

  • Family Movie Night
    Date: Friday 5 October
    Time:  6.00 pm - 8.00pm
    Cost:  FREE
    Wear your favourite PJs and enjoy popcorn and a pop top whilst watching a recent movie. Bookings essential.

Self Managed Activities

    Dates:  Fridays

    Knit, crochet or stitch as a group or individually.  Come together and craft to create a difference for people in need.

  • Cycling for fun and fitness
    Dates:  Mondays
    Time:   9.00 am
    Cost:  Free
    A social group of people who like to cycle.  Casual riding on cycling paths and a small distance from the roadside.  Meet at Lynbrook Community Centre.

  • Kids Catch-up
    Dates:  Tuesdays during school terms
    Time:   10.00 am - 11.30 am
    Cost:  Free
    For parents and carers of pre-school children from birth to five years old.  Bring the kids along to play.  Activities include crafts, themed days, free play and story time.  Parents and carers need to be on hand to assist with activities.
