Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee

The City of Casey has an Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee.

Community representatives advise Council on all areas of Access and Inclusion.  The population within Casey is characterised by its rich diversity, including many age groups, abilities, cultural, indigenous and religious backgrounds, people with differing levels of health status, sexual orientation and social and economic circumstances.

Casey’s Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee is regarded as one of the most successful of Council’s advisory committees.  There are currently no vacancies on the Committee but interested residents can complete and lodge an Expression of Interest in future vacancies at any time.

Areas the Committee covers include:

  • Indigenous culture
  • Religious diversity

  • Age related issues

  • Disability issues

  • Sexual orientation issues

  • Social and economic disadvantage

  • Isolation

  • Language diversity.
