EmailDo you need professional advice in business finance or marketing? Then look no further! Did you know that the City of Casey has its own Business Mentoring Program?
The Business Mentoring Program is designed to assist local businesses prosper by providing them with practical information, support and help in avoiding the common hazards associated with owning and running a business. The City of Casey is focused on ensuring that businesses operating within the municipality are given the best possible opportunity for success.
A key priority of the Council was to support local businesses and this commitment is reflected as a key direction in Casey’s Council Plan. ‘Growing Casey’s Economy’ focuses on attracting and supporting a wide range of businesses and to grow jobs.
Of Casey’s 18,000 businesses 95 percent are small, with less than 20 employees. Many of these smaller businesses lack the regular contact with business experts that are able to provide assistance and support.
Any business owner that wants to grow their business but is unsure about how to go about it, or needs support and guidance to help map out the future of their business can benefit from the Business Mentoring Program.
This program is being delivered with the support of the Small Business Mentoring Service (SBMS) a not-for-profit organisation aligned with Small Business Victoria. Their charter is to offer business advice to improve the employment potential, sales and profits of small to medium businesses.
SBMS mentors are volunteers selected from a list of current and retired business leaders and owners who have the passion and practical experience to help businesses grow and develop. Their services are available to all business and those not eligible for Casey’s program may contact them directly, however will not be entitled to the reduced costs available through Casey’s mentoring program. For only $100, interested businesses will be partnered with a business expert and will be entitled to four mentoring sessions to help them achieve the next step of their business growth, that’s only $25 per session.
