The South East Careers Expo and Try a Trade is an initiative of the South East Local Learning and Employment Network (SELLEN), and the City of Casey has been a proud supporter of the event for several years, as we continue our drive to create more local jobs for local young people.
Over 3000 local students attend each year and is open to parents and guardians so they can also learn about careers and study options available in the region.
Careers and trades on display include carpentry, plumbing, tiling, bricklaying, painting, hair and beauty, engineering and many others. Other career options including the Australian Defence Force, Victoria Police, and local universities are also present at the South East Careers Expo and Try a Trade.
In addition to gaining a hands-on experience, students have the opportunity to talk to qualified people and career advisers about the different occupations and pathways available in the region.
South East Careers Expo and Try a Trade is open to students in Year 9 and above within the south east region.
