What is the vision?

Casey Fields South Part One

Casey Fields South Part One Precinct Structure Plan area is planned to be predominately residential, with a local convenience centre located on Ballarto Road.  The precinct will provide an urbanised link between existing development to the west of Casey Fields Boulevard and proposed new residential areas to the east of Clyde-Five Ways Road.

It will be a community well connected to regional playing fields, and in close proximity to the existing Clyde Township and the Ballarto Road major town centre, and the potential future Clyde Railway Station.  The topography of the PSP area provides for attractive views and vistas.

Casey Fields South Part Two

Planning for the Casey Fields South Employment area has not yet commenced.

Casey Fields South Part Two

The Metropolitan Planning Authority prepares Growth Corridor Plans to guide the delivery of key housing, employment and transport across Melbourne's growth areas.  The South East Growth Corridor Plan (4mb) applies to the City of Casey and Shire of Cardinia.

It is expected that the Casey Fields South Precinct Structure Plan will be generally in accordance with the South East Growth Corridor Plan.

How will infrastructure be funded?

The Clyde Development Contributions Plan (DCP) applies to the Casey Fields South Residential Precinct Structure Plan area, as well as Clyde Creek PSP and Thompsons Road PSP areas.  The plan has been developed to facilitate the provision of some of the key services and facilities required to support the new community.  Specifically, the DCP:

  • Identifies the key infrastructure and services necessary to support a quality and affordable lifestyle for future residents, visitors and workers to the area.
  • Establishes a framework for developers and the community to make financial contributions towards the cost of the key infrastructure and services identified to ensure that the cost is shared equitably between the various developers and the wider community.
