Casey Foothills Strategy

Council is in the process of reviewing the Casey Foothills Strategy, adopted August 1997, that will guide the future planning of the Casey Foothills area. The background paper and supporting information, which is the first stage in the development of the strategy, has now been completed and is available for public information.

We encourage residents to view the Background Paper below or at Council's Narre Warren Customer Service Centres at Magid Drive or in Narre Warren South at Amberly Park Shopping Centre. Residents can find more detailed information in the Casey Foothills Landscape Assessment document available for download below or contact the Strategic Development Department on 9705 5200 or for a copy of the document or to arrange alternative access to view the document.

Casey Foothills Strategy Status Table

This project is being undertaken in three stages and we are currently at stage one.

Stage One - Background Analysis

This stage includes the preparation of a Background Paper which provides a summary of the Indigenous and European history of the area; existing policies; its demography; landscape assessment, bushfire threat and a vision for its future.  Community consultation was undertaken as an element of the landscape assessment.

Stage Two - Casey Foothills Strategy

The preparation, public exhibition and adoption of the Casey Foothills Strategy forms this stage.

Stage Three - Implementation

This stage will involve the implementation of actions defined in the Casey Foothills Strategy.
