Use this form when a Planning Permit is required to use and/or develop land within the City of Casey. Zoning provisions under the Casey Planning Scheme will generally regulate planning permit requirements for the use and development of the land.
The information needed on the Application for Planning Permit form is required under Section 47 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and regulations 15 and 38 of the Planning and Environment Regulations 2005.
From 1 July 2015 a new levy under Section 47(1A) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 is required to be paid to the State Revenue Office prior to making a planning permit application for developments valued over $1 million.
A planning permit application valued of $1 million must contain a Metropolitan Planning Levy (MPL) certificate.
Applications valued over $1 million that do not contain the certificate are considered void pursuant to Section 47(1B) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and will not be accepted by Council.
Any material submitted with the application, including plans and personal information, will be made available for public viewing, including electronically, and copies may be made for interested parties for the purpose of enabling consideration and review as part of a planning process under the Planning & Environment Act 1987.
Should you have any queries about this process or wish to discuss the proposal before lodging the application, please do not hesitate to contact a City of Casey Planning Officer.
