Broadband infrastructure
The level of high speed broadband available in Casey is patchy, frustrating for householders and stifling business development.
As the Federal Government and the National Broadband Company (NBN Co) roll out NBN infrastructure across Australia, the City of Casey is advocating for early inclusion in this implementation process to provide affordable and equitable broadband access for all Casey residents.
With more than 19,500 businesses in the municipality, many of them home-based operations, broadband access is a critical issue. To maintain efficiency, productivity and growth, these businesses need fast and reliable internet access. With approximately 40,000 primary and secondary students in Casey, families also need and deserve access to broadband to maximise educational outcomes for Casey’s young people.
The City of Casey maintains a Broadband internet register. Residents experiencing difficulty accessing broadband services are encouraged to add their details to the register.
