Neighbourhood BBQs
A FREE BBQ held in your own street!
Casey Neighbourhood BBQs are relaxed and fun activities that promote greater connection and communication between neighbours in the City of Casey.
Casey Neighbourhood BBQs are open to all residents within the City of Casey and applications are open all year round. Those residents wishing to have a BBQ in their street are required to fill out an application form and return to the City of Casey’s Community Strengthening Department.
Applications will then be assessed according to location, number of households in the street, level of traffic and reason for wanting a Casey Neighbourhood BBQ. Successful applicants will be contacted by the Community Activities Officer regarding the date of the BBQ.
The activity itself is quite straightforward – come out onto your street and talk to your neighbours over a FREE sausage.
The City of Casey supplies the BBQ trailer, sausages, onions, bread, sauce and two officers to cook the BBQ. Dietary requirements can be catered for if listed when placing your RSVP.
If you would like to apply for a Casey Neighbourhood BBQ, application forms can be collected from any of the three Customer Service Counters located at Magid Drive Narre Warren, Amberley Park Shopping Centre Narre Warren South and Centro Cranbourne.
