Public Artwork at Casey Fields

Team Work

Unveiled by the Mayor, Cr Kevin Bradford on Friday, 17 February 2006 "Team Work" was commissioned by the City of Casey.

"Team Work" is a dynamic sculptural piece designed by Mothers Art Productions which seeks to reflect the sporting endeavours of Casey Fields and the strong sense of community it promotes.

Vertical elements representing team players proudly arch their chests and extend their arms around each others' shoulders as they form a tight group.

"Team Work" aims to reflect the accomplishments of all who participate in sport at Casey Fields and to inspire positive values of co-operation in all of life's challenges.

Located at what will become the main entry to Casey Fields, "Team Work" occupies a prominent position leading to the premier sport and recreation facility of Melbourne's south east region.

Field Landings

Field Landings was commissioned by the City of Casey to provide a vibrant entrance to the Casey Fields Regional Athletics Centre, opened 9 April 2011 by the Mayor Cr Balmes.

The outdoor art installation was designed by Mothers Art Productions and fabricated by Borutta 3D Services. Its playful design brings athletics activities out of the stadium and off the track. Giant javelins and shot-put protrude from the ground, giving the impression of having been thrown just beyond the stadium boundaries by an over-achieving athlete.

Field Landings characterises the hopes, strengths and commitment of young aspiring athletes. It also reflects the spirit of fun and play which is important to any sport and is shared by our community.
