Riding of the Bounds

The Riding of the Bounds is part of a 500-year-long celebration which involves local residents riding on horseback around Berwick-upon-Tweed, UK, in a traditional ceremony to protect its borders.

Celebrating 25 years of this historic event, the 2014 Riding of the Bounds will be held on Sunday 26 October at Hillcrest Christian College in Clyde North.

This year’s horse-riding course is approximately 12km and will take around two and a half hours to complete.

Check in on the day will open at 8.30 am and the ride will commence at 10.30 am.

Registration costs (including a breakfast):

  • $27 for individuals
  • $43 for families (up to four people)
  • $86 for groups (up to ten people)

Registrations will close on Friday 17 October.  Strictly no registrations on the day of the event.

If you wish to participate in the ride with a Horse and Cart please contact the City of Casey Events Unit to discuss suitability and the alternate Horse and Cart route.
