Cranbourne GP Run

The roar of motorcycles and a sea of colour and chrome will fill the streets of Cranbourne on Saturday 17 October at the Cranbourne GP Run.  The City of Casey is proud to host one of the largest and most exciting events in Victoria, as thousands of motorcyclists gather in Cranbourne to travel en-masse to Phillip Island for the 2015 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

From 8.15 am on the day, there will be plenty of entertainment to keep the whole family enthralled with a variety of children's activities, food stalls and entertainment.  At 10.00 am, the pace picks up for the highlight of the day when the guest celebrity will wave-off thousands of gathered motorcyclists on their journey.

Celebrity guest

Star of the screen and stage and respected writer and composer, Eddie Perfect, has been announced as the celebrity guest.

Eddie has made his mark across the entertainment and arts industries in television, comedy, music, theatre and as a writer, and will be a great drawcard to what is already Casey's biggest and most exciting community event.

At the age of 36, Eddie is one of Australia’s most diverse and prolific writers, composers and performers, having carved out a successful career across many fields.

Eddie’s list of credits on the small screen include starring on Channel 10’s hit drama series Offspring, Play School, the 2011 Logie Awards, Kath and Kim, Stingers, Blue Heelers and Spicks and Specks. His list of credits in theatre is just as extensive, having written and toured several shows including Shane Warne The Musical.

Eddie is also a regular fixture on the Australian comedy circuit, having hosted the 2014 Melbourne Comedy Festival Oxfam Gala and has toured many solo music comedy shows around Australia, New Zealand, Edinburgh and London to much acclaim, winning numerous awards.

Charity partner

The City of Casey is proud to announce that the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) will be the charity partner of the 2015 Cranbourne GP Run

Founded in 2001, the centre has been a place of refuge and hope to more than 10,000 members and currently provides assistance to more than 2,000 people seeking asylum.

The ASRC has grown to include 30 programs based on the following core services; food and material aid, health, legal, employment, education and training, social and community development and social enterprise.

The charity partner was chosen by the Cranbourne GP Run celebrity guest, Eddie Perfect, a strong supporter of the organisation.
