ANZAC Centenary 2014 - 2018

Sharing Victoria's Stories and Making Connections

As part of the Victorian Government’s Anzac Centenary program (2014 – 2018) honouring the legacy of our servicemen and women, past and present, the City of Casey has collected various online resources that commemorate ANZAC soldiers from the Casey area.

During the ANZAC Centenary Victorians are being encouraged to research their World War One connections and share their own stories to help commemorate the period. The various resources below allow you to explore, research, track and collect important information on soldiers from the Casey area.

At 11pm on 4 August 1914, the British Empire declared war on Germany.  As a result, Australia also entered the war, a conflict that would cost over 60,000 Australian lives and affect many more. On 4 August 2014, the centenary of the First World War officially began and continues until Remembrance Day 2018.

Lest we forget.
