About Volunteering
Volunteers are a highly valued resource to the vibrant Casey Community. Hundreds of Casey volunteers regularly give their time and energy to assist others in the community.
Volunteering involves providing your resources - time, service and / or skills - for others, with the understanding that there will be no financial rewards. People who volunteer become assets to organisations that may have limited staff and resources, yet play a significant role in the community.
Volunteering work is very important in the Casey community. Hundreds of local volunteers regularly give their time and energy to assist others in the community.
The City of Casey Volunteer Participation Team work to support, promote and develop volunteering in the Casey Community. This work includes providing training, promotion and recognition for local volunteers and volunteer organisations.
The benefits of volunteering are countless and include developing new skills, making new friends and rewards of helping others.
To find out more about the benefits of volunteering check out the Awards page where you can find out more about some of Casey’s Volunteer Award Winners and Citizens of the Year.
