About the Calendar of Events
The Calendar of Events is a FREE marketing publication for community groups running events throughout the municipality. It informs members of our community of events and activities happening throughout Casey. Council delivers this in 3 ways: through an Online Calendar of Events (electronic); a City Events Publication in City News (hard copy) and a monthly Events E-Bulletin.

City Events Publication, City News (hard copy)
Casey Events Calendar is produced quarterly within the City News publication (with a distribution to approximately 80,000 homes). Council officers will select from the listings in the online Calendar of Events to feature in this publication.

Submit your event for the online Calendar of Events
Read the terms and conditions below, before submitting your event to the City of Casey.
Terms and Conditions of the online Calendar of Events and City Events Publication (herein referred to as “the Calendar”) are:
- Inclusion in the Calendar is subject to approval by the City of Casey.
- Application will be assessed using the following criteria:
- Groups must be based within Casey or provide services to people within the municipality
- All events must occur within the City of Casey
- Applicants must be not-for-profit and community focused or be significant major events within the municipality
- Events must be open to all residents of the municipality
- All events and activities currently funded by Council will be eligible for registration on the Calendar
Please note: Trivia nights or auctions for fundraising purposes, school fetes, open days, regular sporting activities and ongoing classes (eg. computer) are not egible to apply for the Calendar.- The online Calendar of Events is updated regularly, however, for inclusion in the City Events publication (published once a quarter), applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the event date.
- The City of Casey reserves the right to exclude any applications deemed inappropriate.
- Council officers will select the events to be featured within the City Events publication from the online Calendar of Events using the following Priority Groups (A being the highest level of priority, and D being the lowest):
- Council-initiated events
- Council-supported events (supported through partnerships or direct funding) Assessed in order of:
- Direct funding through Community Grants and Contributions (Event Grants or Sponsorships
- Events supported in partnership with City of Casey
- Community events
Assessed in order of events that:
- Have the potential to attract large crowds of participants
- Involve a wide range of local community groups eg. local arts, cultural and ethnic groups
- Have demonstrated the ability to host the event
- Offer something entirely new to City of Casey residents
- Are accessible to all residents
- Council messages
- Important information for the residents of the municipality
- Civic functions and openings/launches
